Family Petitions

There is no higher priority than being close to the ones we love. The United States immigration system allows citizens and legal residents to sponsor their family members to obtain Permanent Residency (Green Card). However, an error in the  application or a can result in years of waiting. My commitment is to ensure that your petition is solid from day one.

Requirements for Naturalization (N400):

Petitions by United States Citizens: Citizens have the most extensive and fastest benefits:

  • Immediate Relatives (No waiting quotas): Spouses, unmarried children under 21 years of age, and parents (if the citizen is over 21 years of age).

  • Other Categories (Subject to quotas): Adult Children whether married or single

Petitions by Permanent Residents (LPR): If you hold a Green Card, you can sponsor:

  • Spouses.
  • Unmarried children (under or over 21 years of age).
  • Fiance(e)s

Note: Residents cannot petition for their parents or siblings.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How long does my petition take?

Immediate relatives of citizens are typically processed within months. For other categories, the timing depends on the monthly Visa Bulletin, which we monitor on your behalf to notify you as soon as your priority date becomes current.

Yes, through the K-1 Visa. This allows your partner to come to the United States to get married and then adjust their status here. (Only United States citizens.)

There are humanitarian protection laws that allow a case to continue under certain circumstances. We evaluate whether you may qualify for a substitute sponsor.
